About Collector Dispatch
Independent coverage of the collectibles hobby: news, verified release dates, product reference and set checklists.
What we cover
Sports trading cards, trading card games, comics and graphic novels, action figures and statues, Funko and designer toys, coins, and the wider pop culture collectibles market.
What we publish
- News and short briefs about the hobby.
- Original analysis, interviews and reviews.
- A release calendar covering announcements, preorders, street dates, shipping windows and restocks.
- A product reference catalog and set checklists.
- Guides on storage, buying, grading and getting started.
- An events calendar for conventions, card shows and signings.
How we handle dates and prices
A release date is recorded at the precision the source gave it. If a manufacturer says “October”, we publish October, not the first of October. If no date exists, the page says the date has not been announced. A date in the past is not treated as proof that something shipped.
Manufacturer suggested prices, retailer asking prices and sold transactions are three different things and are never mixed. We do not publish valuations, and we do not infer what something sold for from what someone is asking.
What we will not do
- Accept payment for editorial coverage.
- Invent scarcity, print runs, quotes or firsthand experience.
- Publish a number we cannot source.
- Offer investment advice. Collectibles are not an investment product.
