Disclosures
What is enabled on this site right now, and what it means for the coverage you read.
Current state
- Advertising: disabled. No ad request is made, and reserved space is shown instead of a creative.
- Analytics: offered. Google Analytics, and only for readers who agree on the cookie banner. Nothing is measured before that answer, refusing changes nothing else about the site, and you can withdraw at any time from Cookie settings in the footer. Email addresses and collection data are never sent to analytics, and no advertising tag runs.
- Affiliate partners: none configured.
Advertising
Advertising positions are reserved in the layout so that enabling one does not shift the page around you. While advertising is off, those positions show empty reserved space; no placeholder creative is rendered and no request goes to any ad network.
Advertisers have no input into editorial. They do not see coverage before publication and cannot request changes to it.
Sponsored content
A sponsored post is paid for by the named sponsor. It is labelled “Sponsored” on the article itself, in every listing it appears in, and in the RSS feed, and it carries the sponsor name. Sponsorship never affects where a story ranks in editorial modules.
Affiliate links
Where a retailer link carries an affiliate parameter, the link is marked rel="sponsored nofollow" and the disclosure appears next to it. We may earn a commission when you buy through such a link. That commission does not change which products we cover, what we say about them, or the order retailers are listed in.
Retailer prices shown on product pages are asking prices observed at the time stated. They are not sold prices and are not a valuation.
Review samples
If a manufacturer supplies a product for review, the article says so. We do not agree to editorial conditions in exchange for a sample.
